Mike if you check you will probably find that the pressure coming from the right side is not as great as the pressure from the left side of the exhaust. This is the same with my 308 and the right side holds more condensation then the left side thus causing more steam as the exhaust heats up. |

If this is a one time or occasional observation, I think it may be condensation in the exhaust system. If it happens all the time, I'd begin to suspect a head gasket problem. |

water. oil is blue. does it go away after a while? if not look towards water getting into exhaust system from the engine (not very likely - most likeky condensation). |

Mike: Probably steam, water collects in the exhaust and turns to steam as the car warms up. You probably also see a small puddle under the car. If this is the case, don't worry, it is normal. There are a couple of other threads on this same subject. Check out the archives. |

When I start my 308 in the morning, there is white wispy exhaust(more from the right side) It is not dark and appears to be non-oily. Any ideas? Thanks Mike |
