Hi everyone, Im planning to do the same with my bumpers as well but havent had time to mess with it. Speaking of the euro & QV looks, I purchased a QV hood with the black grill and replaced it with my 79 308 hood which I think looks better overall. Any you guys with older 308s out there, planning to change the looks with much updated versions of QV 308? Im debating to re-paint the car red again but paint the windshield posts red? Any updates suggestions would be helpful. Thx |

I knew it was someone that posted fairly often, I just couldn't put my finger on who, thanks Magoo. It's a nice car. |

Bret, Go to keyword search, type in Euro Bumpers. The guy was Paul Sloan 83 QV who did the conversion. MAGOO |

My targa is painted body color, but not by me. The guy that did it also sanded my "basket handle" and painted it flat black. I drove down to look at the 88 White GTS thats listed on EBay the other day, and it's top is painted too. We had twin cars sitting side by side, kind of rare considering they were both white. |

Yeah they all have the black spoiler and window covers. I can't remember whose car it is either, it's a silver 308 and he did the front nose euro style too recently. HINT HINT Rob, this would be a good time for that page with everyone's name on it so we could just scroll through and look for 308 owners...Please, we'll be good. |

thanks, A mystery (for me anyway, solved!) So I can spray my vents body color and still be somewhat factory. Curious, I guess even the euro cars still kept the black "basket handle" air foil and the black quarter window covers. Wonder if anyone saw a car with these painted body color as well, I think there is a member her who painted his targa body color and it looked good. |

You most certainly are correct Joe, I have a great book that has just about every road car made by Ferrari and I just looked it up to make sure about the 2 liter cars. |

Sam, I think it was only the US Quattrovalvole and the Euro 208 Turbo that had the vents painted matt black from the factory. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |

Bob, looks good, I share Bret's feeling I like the "USA look" trying to be as patriotic these days -- why is it we only talk aboout the euro look. anyway, I think magoo missed that your front wheel vents and air vent are not black...which brings me to a big question...were the factory cars only black vents I see many cars that are body color vents and assume owners painted them. One owner here painted his bumpers as well for a very 328 type look. curious about the painted vs. black (orig.?) vent look. |

The rear is as I got it, doesn't look bad to me and you don't hit your legs on the exhaust tips |

Nice, exactly as mine, BUT nothing beats the original 16" wheels |

Bob, I know you don't need someone to spoil the glory but have you done the rear bumper energy absorbers? If you have, give us some side shots of your conversion. Magoo |

It did turn out like I intended, as a plus I can change back to original in about 30 min. Sorry for the poor quality pictures |

Paul, You are absolutely correct. I never thought that I would say that, being the purist I am. But I have to admit the change looks great and still keeps the orig. appearance. Magoo |

Your car looks really sharp Bob. Awhile back I was thinking about something like this or a euro style bumper, but for some reason I've acquired a taste for my big goofy rubber bumpers sticking, go figure. |

Me being a purist, I gotta admit it looks ok. Still keeps the same look but not as noticeable and does give the car more of the Euro look. |
