You can disable the thing by simply unplugging the connector that goes to the bag that you want disabled. You can add a toggle switch to it yourself. You will get a warning light when it is off. These things are not as complicated as you may think. |

http://www.nhtsa.com/ click airbags and you'll find an installer near you. hopefully one that you can trust. some facts about the air bags: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/airbags/factsheets/numbers.html a few S2000 owners had theirs disabled, ran them approximately $275 for a switch. hope this helps. |

A passenger ride in my car? After watching the accident that claimed my beloved Mondial T Cab...it will require at least three signatures + a bank deposit equal to the price of the car to get a ride for any non-family memebers in the future. Actually, I got the paperwork fromt he folks at DOT, it can be done based on the children and no back seats rule, just a question of if it is work the effort or just go after another T Cab. |

No not to my knowledge. But when and if you have it disabled be sure to put a switch in line so you can make it functional if you have a adult passenger. A good attorney for his client, your passenger, could make a good case of why that bag should not have been disabled in the event of a accident. Also very touchy if the air bag fails to work since you altered it, even with a switch, because it relieves the manufacture of all responsibility. There are things to think about before you do it. |
