I buy Shell Helix in 5 gallon buckets from a local truck maintenance store for about $140. Certainly more tolerable at $7/qt. |

For the Trans I think I was recommended to use Royal Purple. I can't recall what they put in mine a year ago, but I think I could look it up if there is interest. -Ben

At that price the transmission should shift by itself. |

I have been using Mobil 1. It's pretty reasonably priced and available almost everywhere including some of the discount houses in case lots. The synthetic seems to make shifting easier and offer superior lubrication. I started using synthetics in my race car and was impressed with the improvement over straight dinosaur juice. Don't know much about Shell Euro so I can't help you there. |

Use RedLine or Mobile One. Some people add the GM manual transmission additive too. |

Recently I picked up the above oil for my '86 TR at the Ontario Ferrari Dealer and they only carry Shell Euro at $21.00 a litre [about 1 US quart]. Do you other TR people use this oil or what else do you recommend? What do you suppose makes Shell Euro so special? In fact, what is Shell Euro? Bruce. |
