My gauge at 3000rpm reads 85 lbs cold or hot. At 1000 rpms when at operating temp it reads 45 lbs. Keep in mind I have new bearings on my crank and rods and I doubt whether the gauge is totally accurate. |

It's supposed to be 67.5 at 6500 rpms I think and as far as I can estimate mine is about that from anywhere in the range of 5000 and higher (it climbs a little bit as I go up). At idle it reads like 10-20 maybe. At 3000 it's somewhere like 50, give or take some. It varies a lot too depending on oil temp. |

I was curious what everyones oil pressure gauge reads at about 3000 rpm? I have heard that many cars run at 45psi or so even though they should be at 76-85 psi. Why is that? Mine I think reads a little low too. Is there a way to calibrate the gauge? Thanks. |
