The casings are interchangeable. A 308 2v will bolt to QV. In order to use a 328 gearbox, you need the 328 style transfer case.

True. I was talking of the US cars, which got the change when the QVs came along.

Bret, The Euro QV tranny is higher geared than the US Spec QV's tranny.

They should bolt up right and all the gears should fit. The QV trans is a bit stronger than the other years from what I have read and heard, it is geared a little lower though so if you drive on the highway constantly it might be a bit of a pain.

I was wondering if 308 transmissions are interchangeable? For example could I install a QV/2Vi transmission on my carb 308?
