Don, Now I got cha. Yes, I did mine and I pulled it out from under the horiz. shelf and sprayed it with the heavy duty headliner adhesive by 3M. As I replaced it from the bottom up I put the end under the shelf when I got about a foot from the top then flattened it out also. It will work. |

When I said shelf I meant the area behind the seats. The actual horizontal shelf part does have the black covering as well. I never tried to pull the carpeting all the way out from under the shelf because I'm usually too busy tucking it back under, but I'll see if I can do it that way. Thanks. |

Don, I never had the rear shelf out but I would think the only way to do it correctly is to pull it up and spray adhesive under it. Injecting it will leave lumps. Can you pull it loose where the lower lip of the shelf meets the carpet area behind the seats? You also say it is carpeting. My 79 308 has a black vinyl covering on the shelf. |

Greetings - The rear shelf carpeting in my 308 has become unglued from the rear shelf. Has anybody fixed this? I'm wondering if it can be fix easily by re-tucking real tight under the rear shelf piece and then maybe injecting some adhesive under the carpeting. I hear the rear shelf removal is a real bear. Thanks for any help. -DN |
