Peter that address should be in the archives. You gave that address to me before.

P.S.: the copper washers are the same size as my oil/trans drain plugs

I don't have the address at hand, but my hose-builder sourced out the banjo fittings to a supplier in Quebec, Canada. It is a common fitting used on some sort of cement machinery (?). It'll be a DIN part#.

Rick, As I said before, If it is leaking where the hose meets the coupling get a new one made up. There are shops that can use your old couplings and install new hose on them. Don't fool around with that you could lose oil quickly if it breaks loose.

Over time the crimping ceases to be tight at the hose end, also the rubber hose gets stiffer, not uncommon, just replace the assembly, pay attention to correctly torquing the banjo bolts, use new copper washers and don't overtighten at the oilcooler, use two wrenches there.

It appears to me that it is leaking where the hose connects to the coupleing. Look like I'll need a new hose assemble. right?

The oil filter adapter gasket can leak as well. I had to replace one of my oil cooler hoses that would leak only when cold. T. Rutlands has them and are an exact fit. I think Peter came up with some fittings to make his own from scratch.

Rick, Be sure its not the hose where it fits into the coupling. If that breaks you could have a big problem.

There are two copper sealing washers at the connection I would suggest replacing them, very simple and the washers are the cheapest parts on the car!

Has anyone ever had this problem? My 1985 mondial (308 QV) seems to be leaking oil next to the oil filter. I believe it is coming from the oil line that connects the oil cooler to the oil filter housing. Comments?
