17" Simmons 87 Mondial 3.2 (Simmons are made in Australia) Be aware that Mondial's are prone to wearing rear wheel bearings and certain choices of wheel/tyre combos will accelrate the wear. I have replaced both of mine in the last 10000 klm!

Hi Bubba, Here are some pics of my "oz racing" wheels similiar to Speedline. They are 16" not sure of the width, have 225/50 front an 245/45 rear Yokos AVS. Came with the car so not sure where you would get them.

Thanks Edward. Can't quite remember, the car is in the shop being serviced. I don't know if I could get Speedline wheels here in Hong Kong. Besides Speedline, what other brands carry wheels suitable for Mondials? |

Bubba, You obviously have the 390 mm TRX's? 1989 328 wheels, later model with the ABS breaks, will make your car look like it should, a later model 1986 Mondial. Front 16" X 7" about a 45mm offset. Rears 16" X 8" about a 55mm offest. I just got a set from Gentry. off of ebay. Expensive! But I like the look and the ride of 16" tires. 17" rims from speedline are also nice, if you really want high performance with a small sacrifice in ride. 18" rims from a 360 (ebay) will also work without any spacers. You can get the rims and the tires, as a package, off of ebay. Good luck, email me if you need more information. |

The original tires on my 86 Mondial QV need to be replaced, but I think there is some problem with finding replacements here in Hong Kong. So, I am thinking about changing the wheels so I can use the more popular sizes available. Do you guys have any recommendation for good-looking wheels suitable for my car? Are there web sites that I can visit to see what is available? Thanks! |
