Robert, they are not made by Hella.. I just received one set a few days ago and I'll take a picture of it and email the pic to you

Modman, I have not seen a diamond reflective with clear lens. Are the made by Hella? I got the kit from MAC Motorsports about 2 years ago. It's their 308/328 kit.

Robert, It was what I expected of the fluted lens type having the 2 types of flutes up and down but it really is not needed since the HID's are so bright. Have you seen the diamond reflective with clear lens? I have tried many types of lenses and the diamond reflective is much accurate in light dispersement. The newer reflective technology is based on the reflector and not the lenses anymore as you can see with most newer cars.. also which HID system are you using? I have installed many types of HID systems and they have similar but different results such as in color and brightness.. The brightest ones I found burn at 6000k which is more than enough bright, you can say it's overkill, very blinding but can result in problems with oncoming drivers without a proper bulb adjustment kit which most HID's don't come with...

Modman,
The kit has a metal ring or socket where the H.I.D. bulb is in the center. At the bottom of this ring is a small 100W Halogen bulb. The high beam is almost useless. It's good for flashing and that's about it. I will try to take some pics of the housing this weekend.

Robert, how did you use 2 different types of bulbs on your 7" round housing because I have never seen this. The housings were designed for H-4 type bulbs and only fire from the middle, if the bulbs are offset and especially from the HID bulb, the beam pattern will be offset. This sounds very questionable, you would need a fluted lens to disperse high and low beams. If you do have 2 bulbs in the same housing it would be redundant to use a standard filament bulb since the HID's will be much brighter anyway. And also what type of housing are you using on your 308 since they make many types... Can you post a pic of your headlight housing so I can see if it is done correctly? Just for facts... if you are going to put an HID system in your car it is not legal to do so... why.. the reflector in the lens housing was not designed to disperse properly and can blind oncoming drivers and that is why they look so much brighter than most factory intalled HID systems...

I have them on my 308. I bought them from http://www.machid.com they occasionally advertise in Forza. The kit came complete with ballasts, igniters, wiring harnesses, relays, Two 7" round lenses with 35W H.I.D. bulbs for the low beams & 100W halogen bulbs for high beams. I love the system, it has to be 4X brighter than the old halogens.

Ferrari has not been using HID systems till recently like 360.. Most Italian cars are usually behind on the electronics....

Conversion is no problem, do you want xenon filament bulb replacement in New housing or real HID in New housing? there is a big difference in price but it depends how much your budget is. There is a 300% difference between the two in performance. I have HID in my car which burn at 6000k and they outperform factory installed HID systems.
