Thanks for the compliments and yes, Peter, the interior is all red. Try http://home.att.net/~akagarn/308.2 & http://home.att.net/~akagarn/308.4 for the interior shots. Of all the pictures and actual GT4's that I've seen (which are very few), I like the subtlety of this paint scheme. It's really a personal thing. Thanks again for all your thoughts. |

JMG the Mondial Cab is one of the best looking Ferrari ragtops ever!! I love the A-10!! Its a real mans aircraft, down and dirty in the mud with a big gun!! I really do like the Mondial Cab though, Ferrari got the look right. The black n tan one you have is simply stunning |

you know when I saw this i thought "oh God what a dill, but man I like the look of that and the rubber strip is both practical and as someone else said, sets it off nicely" This is one of the nicest GT4s I've seen and is definitely better looking than a Mondial (sorry Mondialman). I'm just about to start restoring my GT4 and I like tasteful ideas like this one. |

Harold, nice colour combo for your car (is the interior all red?). |

You don't like the Mondial looks DaveL? You must be an A10 jockey. :-) I agree that the GT4 gets a bad looks rap...I like it myself but alas, the tin top had me looking down Mondial Way... |

Harold, please disregard my previous post. After looking at your car (very nice!) I've changed my mind. The PO chose the tasteful, narrow rub strip, and like Peter says, it looks sharp. Plus, you don't want to mess up the clearcoat on that metallic paint job. Just glue that puppy back down! |

Id keep the molding!! I just looked at the pic on the link and it finishes the line quite nicely. I still dont understand the slight discrimination against the styling of the 308gt4 at all. The look is so much better than the Mondial its laughable. I like the Mondial as a Cabriolet. Nice wheels and paint color as well. From what Ive read the road manners on the GT4 are better than the B or S 308's and Enzo himself payed much attention to the layout of the interior on the GT4. Hope you get your trim fixed..Dave |

Thanks for the replies, guys. Daryl, you are absolutely right. The PO must have added these rub strips. They can be seen in my profile pix and better seen at http://home.att.net/~akagarn/308.6 I wasn't aware that they were not original. Peter, you also make a good point that they are good protection. Let's see... better looking (sans rub strips) vs. parking lot insurance. Something to think about. Thanks again. |

No GT4's ever came with side moldings. But its good parking-lot-door-ding insurance. Larry Dunn's GT4 has them, his car is all red and it actually looks good. I've had success (in other applications, not on the Ferrari) using 3M's VHB tape (Very High Bond). This stuff is sticky!! |

3M makes a trim adhesive that will hold until it comes loose again. Use the Black adhesive in a tube. |

Harold - What piece are you refering to? Around the window? On the door? If yours is one of the GT4's that past owners have fitted with horizontal rub strips along the beltline, you might consider removing them entirely. The cars never had these originally, and my personal opinion is that they give the car a "Detroit" look that detracts from Gandini's design. Just my $.02. Ciao. |

Last night, I went out to the garage to check on something and noticed that the driver's side exterior door molding was hanging down. Evidently, the cold weather has affected the adhesive. Do I need to replace the molding or can someone suggest a proper trim adhesive that will stand up to the elements. Thanks in advance |
