I use Castrol 20W-50. Works Great.

There should be no advantage nor disadvantage, the 60 may help some in the hottest weather.
I held a tech session a few years ago with representatives of two oil companies present, they both pointed out that in order to make an oil act like a 5W then a 50W involved the addition of various other things, the further apart the numbers may indicate the percent of additives? They both said that the lightest oil would be most beneficial in the long term, i.e. a 5w40 over 20w50, for most vehicles. Also use a pure synthetic, not a blend, if you note, the blends do not specify the ratio!

My 348 Spider calls for 10w40 sythetic oil. I have a supply of Castrol RS 10w60 for my BMW M5. Would it do any harm to use the 10w60 oil in my 348 ? What do you guys think ?
