Maybe I need to fiddle with it some more. For me, it seems to be the only way to keep the AC from blasting cold air, even with the temp dial all the way up. If it "stops" all of the automatic functions, you guys are implying that even with it pushed in, you get heat? Or maybe since the climate system is stopped, the only air left is from outside, and it's really cold out. Either way, weird button!

Thanks,
Dave

I push that button when I took the car on the track. It didn't make sense to have the climate system running when you have to have the windows rolled down while lapping.

So that's what happened to Britney Spears...

"But officer, I tried to hit the STOP button and the car just kept going. Since the car wouldn't stop, shifting it in reverse was the only option."

Don't feel badly--took me a month to figure out the stop button function. At least it doesn't "stop" the engine!

Dave,
Welcome to the world of wacky Italian translations....When you read the manual, it makes it sound like the stop button turns off the AC compressor....what it actually does is turn off the whole climate control system...I'm going to go out on a limb here...but 'OFF' might have been a more appropriate label!!!

Is this button as wacky as it sounds? The manual says it will "Stop the AC", but on my car it "Stops" the heat. Ie, in the winter, I leave it in the out position.

Other than figuring out the radio, this is the one button absolutely no one would ever guess!
