Ferrari of Atlanta changes mine out at no charge. I just stopped by & they did it. The recall is for all Ferrari filters. They now torque it down real tight. I fear that I'll never get the darn thing off. |

I didn't do anything in particular - I bought my car at an authorized Ferrari dealership 3 years ago and I suspect that they reported to the importer. I also registered my car at the new official Ferrari Owners website, https://www.owners.ferrari.com, so maybe thats where they have the information from. As a sidenote, in the letter is a request to forward to the importer the name of the new owner in case I had sold my car. |

Just received official, personal letter with the details of my car, from the Ferrari Importateur Exclusif in France, Ch. Pozzi, informing me that it is necessary to change the oil filter Ferrari # 111782 (UFI OEM) to Ferrari # 191993 (also UFI). They advice me to contact my local concessionaire, who will do the exchange "rapidement et gratuitement". Quickly and free of charge. This is due to a possibility of losing oil due to a defective gasket, as they write. The subject has been brought up here on F-chat earlier and now it's official. Maybe some of you out there isn't registered with Ferrari - you now have the information this way and can act on it. |
