I just installed a new K&N air filter on the 84 308, replacing the UFI. Took the car for a spin to check it out and noticed, even after 30 min of driving, the idle was higher that before the change. It idles around 1500 rpm (don't know the real value since it idles at 500 when it's not running...damn gauges) but I'm assuming 1000 rpm. Is this typical, I wouldn't think so. Nothing else was changed. Possible vacuum leak? Adjust idle and forget it? Any help is appreciated. BTW as others have said before me, it may be my imagination but the car "seemed" a little more responsive. Thanks Donny |
