Also if you look at the picture of my 348 when you click on my name you can see just before the front wheel the gap I am talking about...you can see how it goes back up as it flows towards the nose. I look again and see two bolts inside right behind each of these sides. |

Awesome chuck thanks for all the help. The nose isnt crooked in any area its like a consistent 1/2 or 3/4 inch gap where the front bumper meets the wheel well, and then comes back into only 1/4 or so at the front of the car. I just have noticed recently like I said after the last drive that I took it on. Gotta stay of the rough roads! If you find anything in your shop manual let me know, I can see a few bolts behind the front wheel well if I remove the wheel well cover however I dont know what these are attached to or even how to get at them having never worked on the front section of a 348 before. Engine compartment no problem....this is a little harder to get at. Once gain thanks for the help. By the way beautiful 348. John |

I just checked the gap on mine and it's a little less and 1/4". Doesn't look crooked. I can't see where the clip (front fascia) is attached - the wheel wells are covered inside (although my battery is in there somewhere) and I can't see anything in front of the headlight box when the lights are up. Sorry not much help. I'll see if my shop manual has a cutaway view. |

It would be better known as the front bumper. And I'd say you have a problem if the gap is 1/2 to 3/4" |

Basically the whole from nose of the car. The section on the car that includes the front gril, foglights, and wraps around to the front of the wheel well. Basically if you look at your hood and look at the ferrari logo, move down 2-3 inches you will find about a 5 inch thick piece thats as wide as the hood, and then move past that and the next part down from there is the front clip. I might have misspoken when I called it a front clip because that what I call it on most cars I have worked on, its really the nose section of the car. Ohhh yeah another good way to describe it is the piece of the car that gets all the rock chips in it from driving. Hope this helps to clarify what I meant to say :0) |

I'm not sure what you mean by a "nose clip". Could you describe it further? |

Just got my baby outta hibernation for this weekend since it was so nice here in the nordic north of minnesota and after driving around for a few hours when I arrived home I noticed my nose clip has started to sag. I dont know if the bolts have come loose or what. Has anyone else has this happen? If so what did you do to fix the situation? I dont think it would put to much joy in my heart after just installing my cat cut off pipes and listening to the sweet exhaust to hear a crunch from the front end falling off. The gap between the clip and the hood is about 1/2 - 3/4 an inch. |
