I upgraded the front pads on my 512TR and changed to high temp brake and clutch fluid. Also added a heat shield to the clutch line that runs just in front of my TUBI. Have run two Moroso and one Sebring event (Sport/red group) and have had zero fluid boiling problems and can go one number deeper into the braking zone. I used to lose clutch after 10-15 hot laps before. Matching the challange cars will be tough in the braking zone and twisties unless you run slicks. Lou Bevilacqua |

For what it's worth, last week a Ferrari sales guy told me that some people install F40 brakes on their Testarossas. I don't know how big the F50 brakes are, but those on the F40 are BIG. You may have to upgrade your tires and wheels at the same time to get everything to fit. |

They make ten-pot calipers!!! Six-pot is standard! |

I can't remember where (so this probably wont help) but I have heard about switching to F50 brakes on a TR and other Ferraris, as well as switching F40 brakes onto a 355 if I remember correctly. I remeber reading about it on some racing page. If you can't find anything then Tarox brakes (www.tarox.com) might have something. They make some pretty sick brakes for various sports cars and exotics. |

The 512TR needs some help in the brake dept. Ive been told that I can install F50 calipers & rotors as well as the F50 Master cylinder, then I intend to move my front brakes to the rear of my car. Any1 heard of or done this or a similair type brake swap? Those pesky 355 challenge cars, I lose them on the straights & they gobble me up again in the braking zone Thanks |
