Jerry excellent description of the crank. It is crap. I guess it may get you out of one emergency.

Dave L. on this site has a GTV-6, can he confirm if his emergency window crank is the same as this picture?

I might be wrong, but I think the crank for the ferrari is the same as the Alfa Romeo GTV6's . Mayby you can get one from Alfa Parts Exchange in California.

Jerry,
Thank you very much for your work. I think I will try to make one and see what happens.

John, Here you are. Sorry for the delay. I thought I would post this rather than emailing so all could benefit. The material is blued steel. The handle rotates but is cheap feeling (plastic just slid over the handle end). Overall this is a very crappy piece of hardware. Hope this helps your efforts.Upload

I purchased one not long ago as part of an attempt to "complete" the set of tools that originally came with the car. The seller said "yep, it's a window crank for a 308...only one left in stock". Unfortunately, the tool that I received was not the same as an "original". It was shaped differently, and made out of a hard plastic material. To make matters worse, this thing was expensive! Would love to get my hands on an original correct window crank for my 308 (after I've gotten over what I paid for the wrong one). Jerry is right -- we need to pull our heads together and all go into the 308 aftermarket business

You tell it like it is Jerry

I'd keep that crank if I were you. Judging the reliability of Ferrari electrics, that crank works damn better than the motor (believe me...).

The guy on ebay is on crack. When I first got my car I found this little "crank" looking thing. Real cheap and cheesy looking, I almost tossed it in the can. Now I've decided to hold on to it and sell it to fund my retirement. It is so amazing that this stuff goes for the kind of prices we see all the time.

John, I will dim the little piece of crap and take some close pictures so you can build one. Email me at my profile address so I know where to send the info.

Thanks for responding Mark. I saw the drawing in the owner's manual but it is not good enough to see dimensions so I can make one.

There is a picture in the owner's manual - looks like a long 'S' shaped rod, similar to a bent crow-bar; deffinatly not fancy tool by any means!

Does anyone have dimensions and/or a drawing of the manual window crank for a 308?
