i still can't find the black box on the bulkhead.. I suppose I'll have to look through the wiring and service manuals... haven't devoted much time to it, though. work work work.
thanks guys...
and I still think the gt4 is very cool!

Hey, not all is perfect here. The GT4 uses an external light relay for the main beam relay, so one relay can't work without the other. Hmmm... Oh, that one relay is very hard to find (Stribel SR9833 - NLA!). As well as one relay for the headlight lifting motor relays too. Five relays to do two individual jobs!

thanks Heath... I'll give that a shot...
and Peter... believe me, it is a nightmare... there are still a few gremlins running around in there... it's kind of funny because I thought about getting the gt4... LOVE the lines & it became a trade-off between getting the car I'd loved since high school (the mondial) or the gt4 by bertone... in the end, I got the mondial because I wanted to fulfill a dream... I do love it & at some point I'll pick up the simplicity of your car as well -- hell, yours is faster & easier to work on!!

Thanks gentlemen...

I've heard that those Mondial display panels are a real nightmare to work with. Looking at some photos, the Mondial electrical system has a ton of relays and fuses, I shudder to think about it...(what with my kit-car like GT4).

Sam
on the right side of the bulk head in the frount of the car you will see a square topped black box right next to your a/c filler unit it is your milage control unit you can reset it your self by inserting a small screwdriver or a wire in the hole of the small metal tit that is sticking out on the sort of top side the light comes on automaticaly every x number of miles it is just a reminder that it is time to have service done.
Best Regards,
Heath

my "service due" light just went on today when I started up the car. It was a bit low on oil & I corrected that, but the light didn't go off (it wasn't the OIL light anyway). Is this on some sort of timer where it goes off after the last service or is it actually attached to the engine & something is wrong? Should I take it in immediately? I know it's a bit down on compression on one of the cylinders which I'll rectify soon, but the point is... can I turn this light off, is it meaningful & should I stop driving immediately?

Thanks much...
