It normally needs to have the throttle cracked during a warm start as oppposed to the no throttle cold start.

First off, thoroughly enjoy each and every posting on this board. I've been watching for a while but just recently became an owner. Life long dream fulfilled with the adoption of an 85 308GTS QV.

A few newbie questions that I haven't been able to find an answer for in the archives yet. I'm getting a slight but constant vibration through my gearshift at speed (mostly in 4th & 5th), a slight buzzing noise eminating between the gearshift and the gorgeous steel shift gate. The only way to eliminate the vibration (at least temporarily) is to hold the shift knob firmly in position within the gate. It seems as though the gearshift rides just barely alongside the gate rather that centered within position, causing the two to touch slightly. Any ideas on cause and possible fix?

Second question. Has anyone had difficulty starting a fuel injected QV? In my previous injected cars, I simply turned the key and fired her up, unlike my 66 porsche which has an elegant 3 pumps of the accelerator to prime the carbs then twist and howl. When cold, the 308 fires right up with no hesitiation, but after breifly warming up it cranks over just fine, and I can hear the relay clicking away from under the passenger side panel, but it will not start without a brief blip of the accelerator to send a little juice down the pipes?
