Hey Steve, Congrats! Hope your having as much fun with yours as I'm having with mine. Not sure if it's normal but mine idles up and down within a range of may be 50-100RPM once the cold start kicks off, between 950-1050RPM, after a few minutes (less than 5) of driving it's rock steady at 1000RPM at idle. No problems with flooding, but I do need to give a little blip of throttle to start her up once the engine's warmed up. Good luck! |

I have just purchased a 85 308QV which has covered 30K miles.I have noticed that when starting from cold,if it does not start straight away it floods.Also when it does start the idle, (once the cold start mech has switched off)surges up and down.Once the engine is at temp the engine runs fine.
My question is:- is this normal,if not any ideas
