Would have to concur with the professional detailing suggestions. Just had mine completely done last week - bumper to bumper. Took the detailer 3-1/2 days, and it turned out spectacular. The 308 looks 10 years younger now. Going to have him do the MGB next . The detailer that did mine loves to work on exotics, but does other cars as well. He doesn't advertise (word of mouth only) and stays booked! I found out about him while chatting with a buddy (360 owner) at a local show event. He had just had his 360 done by the same detailer and it looked amazing. Bob and Greg are right when they say it may take a good reconditioning of the paint -- which, in my case, involved compounding, wet sand, block sand, polish, and wax job. The service can get a little pricey, especially if you have the whole car done, but it sure beats the cost of a re-paint. Just my 2 cents... |

Bob, I was going to recommend the same in terms of wet-sanding, clay bar, all of the things that would go into a complete 3-4 day paint reconditioning. |

Find a good detailer, first to try is buffing with various compounds. Next would be wet sand with 1500 or finer grit and buff out |

Is this just heat discoloration? Good detail job fix or total repaint? I don't have any answers. |

I posted a similar subject several weeks back with limited response so I thought I would throw the hook out there again! I have a red 308 GTSi. The paint on the deck lid and around the air intakes is discolored. It's a "cloudy" effect. Not visible except under the right (or wrong???) light conditions. Is this something that is common with Ferraris? Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do to remedy? I have tried several polishes, which helped some, but nothing that took the cloudiness out. Thoughts are appreciated. |
