Gerrit - now that you mention it, I remember seeing something down there the last time I was under the car. I will crawl under there to look again. Thanks for the tip. Jim Selevan |

Hi James, On the Dino 308GT4 this switch is located in the steering rack area. Had to remove the front bottom pan to find it. A parts manual will confirm the location. |

David, thanks for the tip. I will look for this transducer. However, there are two reservoirs, suggesting that the front and rear are on two separate systems. Will there still be a pressure differential switch? I will look in the workshop manual for this switch. Thanks - more to come. Jim Selevan |

Jim, You're testing my memory here, as it was along time ago that I saw this problem on a Dino, or another Ferrari... Found that the there is a "pressure differential" switch on the front/rear differential pressure regulator....which is usually mounted in the front of the car, not to far from the master. The swith will "trigger" if there is a pressure differential between the front and rear brakes. Often, after doing brake work..bleeding, etc., the light will trigger. Once you find the switch...and that it is connected, remove the switch. Looking into the thread hole, with a tiny awl..or toothpick, center the valve (it will be shifted to one side). Re-install switch...and enjoy. |

1972 U.S. 246 - Brake Failure light now illuminated. Light located in bottom rim of revolution counter. There is no float level detector on the brake fluid reservoirs. Schematic reveals relay tied into passenger and driver seat switch and seat belt switch. Have not yet located brake pressure transducer - there may not be one on this U.S. model? This is not the parking brake light. Has anyone experience with this malady? Help is appreciated. Thank you. Jim Selevan |
