One more thing. They will also give you the name of the dealership where it was delivered to when new. |

Stephen, I just went through this with the ferrari owners site via e-mail.I had to fax them a copy of my registration and they sent me my month and year of manufacture along with the exterior and interior color codes. They actually gave me the build month and year without the registration and when I needed more info they asked for it. |

Steve, The dealership which originally sold your car might still have the build sheet on file. Mine came with a copy of the build sheet which Algar Ferrari had supplied to the previous owner. |

According to the email they sent me I can request an Heritage Certificate which only confirms that the engine and transmission are the correct ones for the car and ext/int color. Still nothing about month and year of manufacture. You need to provide them with your serial number, engine number and transmission number to receive this certificate. |

I have not got mine but generally it has all the cars specs- paint color - interior color , month of build - day of completion. options etc etc- I would liken it to a technical window sticker |

Ferrari owners site only has build sheets through 1974. If your car is newer they won't be able to help. On my 1980 GTSi the month and year that the car was built is on a plate on the drivers side door pillar. I was able to find some information on my car by using the contact information on the Ferrari Owners site and writing directly to them. |

I was hoping someone might help me determine the approximate build date of my car. I have read some of the VIN help sites, but yet to find a clear explaination of how to find the actual build month. TIA |
