I maybe luckier than you because the door handles on my GT4 are Fiat X1/9. There are ALOT of other Fiat parts on my car.

Your right I've always have tried to work on my own cars.I started with 426 HEMI's to vettes to Porsches' and now it's Ferrari's I've done a lot of research on getting after market or other parts for my cars.I've found for myself that the best place for me to buy Ferrari parts when I need them is a place called MID WESTERN AUTO GROUP they seem to give me the best price in the US.The phone number witch is a toll free one is 800 394-2571 ask for Ron he help me out a lot.

Good thing you had that other 348! Wow, cool, a 348 parts car in your backyard! I knew a guy like that...except he had three Skodas....two were parts cars.

The vast majority of dealers now (including all marques), have technicians who are skilled in R&R...Remove and Replace. Very few have actual repairing skills (ie: fixing something that BREAKS).

the fix wasn't easy I called a couple of 4re dealers around for help what joke same old song and dance bring it in and we will check it out.Right the only only I would bring it in if I really had to.So what did is contacted the parts dept.gave what I thought what the problem could be.They told me that I had to by new key tumblers and in which you have to buy the ign. switch.NO that did not fix it even when I brought the old parts in they could not help me.They sent to the service side then the body shop nothing. Then they told me again bring your car in for service and then I said no thanks. So what I did next is I took the door panels off my other 348 in witch I really didn't want to, but oh well. The problem was that wear the key tumbler goes into the door and on the back of the lock has a clip with a spring keeps fallen off.The part that the spring and clip go on has a tiny lip on the other end in witch it worn off I guess after time by locking and unlocking that tiny lip wore away.SO in short the tumbler goes inside this round piece then goes into the the hole in the door witch has a lip to hold this other lip in place so it doesn't fall out.SO what I did is take the set off one car and put it on the other and order two new kits the my other car.Just think if I let the dealer touch my car it would have cost hundreds of dollars for a simple little fix that any one could fix it.The only problem is that the dealer only wants your money they don't want help you out very much other than that.So in short the prblem is that after time the lip on that one piece wore down to nothing.

does anybody know or had a problem with the door locks on a 348.I seem too not be able to lock both doors. When I took them apart I found nothing wrong with them. The only thing Found wrong is that there are two parts to the tumblers were split and there wasn't any way in which they were they stayed together accept by a round spring.Does anybody have some ideas in how to fix this ?
