The units themselves are around $600-$700 I think. I think it is called a tach amplifier and I also think EM sells it. I would assume a machine shop could do the neccessary work for around $300 or so. You could also buy the unit from Nick. I am not sure how much it is though.

If you buy the electromotive from Nicks Forza Ferrari (click on ad banner above left)it comes with with a special machined trigger wheel and pickup mount that makes install on a Ferrari simple and clean.

I have installed 5 of his systems to date.

I have been researching the electromotive unit for the 308. Does anyone have the specs for machining/fitting the magnetic trigger wheel/harmonic balancer? Does EM sell the a component to make the stock tach work with this unit? How do most mount the magnetic sensor to the timing cover? Did anyone buy the stock unit and set it up themselves? Thanks for the info.
