Peter, Do you have a Bosch # (10 digit) for these parts? If so, check the site http://www.importeccatalog.com/ below I posted and see if they have them. The price might be better and shipping is free anywhere in the USA. Joe

Steve, Yeah, that is the part # I've got. The original is 100343 superceded by 125340. I double checked Lyle T's site and it is listed now. He gets $106. I guess I will go with McCann and get the aftermarket one for $30. McCann also beats out T. Rutlands price on the speedo sending unit by $64. |

Peter C. -- What is the F part number that you're using for the analog oil pressure sender? -- my ex-'78 notes show 125340 (and that is shown on Lyle T.'s site) |

Steve, I did check them and the part number was not in their data base so I submitted an inquiry (that is the Lyle Tanner). It is a great website though! Thanks. |

Joe, Thanks for the input, I checked out the Bosch website and they have listings for just about every Ferrari except the 308. I wrote to T. Rutlands and Lyle Tanner but have not received any response yet (probably just cause its monday morning). I did some more checking on Dennis McCann's site and found the $140 was for the Marrelli unit, they also have an aftermarket unit for $30. |

Peter C. -- it never hurts to type in a F part number at http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com to get another price reference IMO. I'm looking forward to the day we can do reverse-eBay and post what parts we want and get quotes back from all the interested part suppliers.

Anybody, Go to this website http://www.importeccatalog.com/ plug in the Bosch # in the part number block and click GO and see if they have it. They have almost all common Bosch parts and the prices are good. Also, here is a website that list all Bosch parts on your particular car http://www.isham-research.com/quattro/bosch.html Click on the "Click here to enter the Bosch Parts Database" and enter your car model, year etc. Joe

Now I have a question - where is the best place to purchase an oil pressure sending unit? I checked Dennis McCann (www.allferrariparts.com) and he gets $140. Does that sound about right? Any other places I should check? ('79 308) I appreciate the help on the earlier post I had on the oil pressure gauge problem. |

Scott -- the oil pressure senders are on the same structure as the oil filter like Mark E noted (I assume you are interested in replacing the sender supplying the analog gauge which is the larger one on the LH side IIRC). The oil temperature thermistor (sender) is mounted in the forward facing wall of the engine wet sump. |
