Sorry Henry, I must of goofed on the website.

Try this one http://app5.bosch.de/cgi-bin/WebObjects.dll/BoschVer?language=English and just click on the "To search menu" arrow and then put your make, model and year etc. You will get all the Bosch parts that came on your car and any superceded parts numbers too.

Joe: Thanks for the web site, but I can't read German. Is there an American source?

Steve: Thanks for your response regarding the tool. I have a mill, lathe, and welding equipment: I should be able to make one. My car has 58,000 miles on it, so I feel I got my moneys worth.

Henryk -- Several of us have had to replace the TR speedo sender so it seems to be a not uncommon problem. Here's the link to a previous discussion describing the offset 32 mm wrench that you'll need to do the swap (if the powerplant is in the car):

Henry,

It is a Veglia sender located at the bottom of the front cover on the tranny. They cost around $50-$70.

I do not think you will lose any fluid changing it.

My speedometer is working on and off, while driving. Is there an aftermarket one for the TR?

Will any fluid be lost while replacing the sensor?
