Back to the good old plugwire extensions imho. Check them carefully and also the plugwires.

The car has an EGR valve, of that I am sure. The thermo sensor for it is on the bottom of the overflow tank and the valve itself is located above the oil cooler, behind the coils. I think I am chasing a vac leak. I have done some more testing and I have made it better but not perfect yet. I will check the throttle postion sensor.

Thanks

Chris

If they don't fit stock you can always use a spacer and make them fit.

Chris,

Ive seen 348 wheels on a 3.2 Mondial so it seems they should work on the QV. As for your drivability problem, I don't think these cars have an EGR valve (correct me if I'm wrong people). Lots of FI stuff to check like pump pressure, sensors, etc. Some of those sensors don't come into play until the engine warms up a bit. My throttle position sensor was not moving with me when I hit the gas and gave me the same problem you have. Just some rambling thoughts. Good luck.

Is it possible to fit 17x7.5 F and 17 x9 R rims from a 348 on an 85 Mondial QV? Any tips or ideas? Also I am having what I think is an EGR valve problem with the Mondial. The motor has 35K on it and has had the 30K service done about two years ago. The car runs fine when cold , runs rough when water temp get to around 150 or so up to 4K RPM and then clears up. I have good vac from the intake manifold (8 hg's or so) . All the vac lines look OK. Spark plugs have 3K on them.
Any ideas?

All the Best
