MY 328 HAD A INTERMITTENT ROUGH IDLE AND AFTER MUCH TIME AND EFI PARTS SPENT IT WAS THE MAIN EFI RELAY WHICH ISNT BOSCH I THINK ITS MARRELI IT HAS A WEIRD INTERAL FUSE SET UP IT NOW RUNS GREAT

Ive not had trouble with mine yet (knock on wood), but they could be causing you some idle difficulty if your 328 injection architecture is similar to my TR KE Jetronic. You should definitely go back to a 3-wire, self-heated O2 (lambda) sensor -- to quote the TR WSM:

At low temperatures (below 300º C) the oxygen sensor produces no useful signal.
In order to speed up the initial warm-up period after a cold start and to maintain the sensor efficiency when the engine idles for prolonged periods, in addition to the exhaust gases, the oxygen sensor is also heated by an integral heating element.

For an independent price reference, my local NAPA store could match the Bosch (3-wire) O2 sensors on my TR exactly for ~$269 each and they had a NAPA brand equivalent for ~$229 each.

The throttle microswitch function is described in a paragraph titled Automatic Idle Control and states:

Controlled by the throttle microswitch (idle contact) it limits the amplitude of the oscillations occurring in the control voltage supplied by the ECU to the electromagnetic pressure actuator in response to fluctuations in the oxygen sensor signals. This prevents unstable idle speeds during closed loop mode.

Good luck with the fix.

I just took my car in for a check upand was told that the car runs great overall but the lambda control is not working properly (previous owner put a cheaper one-wire set up on the car)and also the throttle switch is bad. Has anyone had any problems with either of these? Would they cause a sporadic rough idle?
