Caribe -- The bolt pattern is compatible between the TR and 512TR wheels as Ben L. indicated, but the wheel offsets are different so you'll need a set of spacers and longer lug bolts. Someone sold a set of such hardware on eBay a few months ago, but unfortunately, the eBay records doesn't go back that far. I scaled the drawings in the GB progetti book "chronicles of a project: FROM THE FERRARI TESTAROSSA TO THE 512 T.R.", and I'd estimate that the 512TR wheel offsets are: 512 TR front wheel offset = +46 mm 512 TR rear wheel offset = +81.2 mm I had previously measured my '91 TR wheel offsets as: TR front wheel offset = +34 mm TR rear wheel offset = +60 mm Consequently, you'll need ~12 mm spacers for the fronts and a ~21 mm spacers for the rears (plus the longer lug bolts for each) to put the 512TR wheel centerlines in the same places as the TR wheel centerlines. Although, since the 512TR rear wheel is a little wider than the TR rear wheel (10.5" vs 10") I'm not sure if you should try to match the wheel centerline locations on the rear or try to keep the outside of the rear wheels in the same place -- i.e., something more like a 15 mm spacer in the rear. I had a peek under my TR and there isn't a lot of room (clearance) in either direction with the stock 10" wide rear wheels so you might want to make some measurements yourself. If anyone has a more reliable source for TR or 512TR wheel offset values please let me know. |

Yes, the 512 TR looks, besides the few cosmetic changes in the front, are really improved by those wheels and low profile tires. I will check around to see what I can find, and I will let you know. Caribe. |

As far as I know yes, the bolt pattern will be fine. Be prepared to get lower profile tires, in order to fit into the wheel wells. I have seen a few Testarossas with the 512TR rims, I really do like the look, let me know if you find TR rims at a good price. -Ben |

Do the wheels/tires of 512 TR fit a Testarossa 88.5 or newer? |
