This weekend I hope to nearly finish up my 328 which included new cam belts, water pump, checking valve adjustment, and cleaning up the engine due to multiyear oil leak at the front valve cover.
I noticed that the o-ring at the water pump had some red sealant on it. I don't think the water pump had ever been off before as it was only serviced once at 16K a number of years ago. There was nothing on the itemized bill regarding the water pump.
I'm not inclined to put sealant at this o-ring. What do you think? |
