No, this was not the sun. The seats on my 308
looks very similar. But my car didnt stand long times in the sun. These seats are factory redyed
for my opinion. Conolly only delivered the 3997 and the 4208 leather to Ferrari. My seats has the same color like the left one above, but much in more better condition. And on all points where there is no dye you will find the original 4208 color. Please use some cleaner for removing paint.
You will see, that there is the 4208 under the coat.

Do you know where you got the covers from?

The only "tears" are what you see here on the bottom half of the drivers seat. The piping on that one spot top left and a little spot on the center strap. the back and the entire passenger cover are fine. Just worn and faded.

My 78 seats when I got the new ones looked like mustard next to them. It is amazing what the sun can do to a car.

The new seats look great. Question, are the old covers torn? I have a pair of seats with badly torn covers and 1/2 a bottle of dye sitting in the garage. Thanks.

Oooh, lovely :-)

Did you swap the covers over yourself, or did you get someone else (a professional) to do it ?

Nice one changing them, there's always a lot of debate regarding originality but I think you made spot on the right choice to change them old covers.

It's unbelievable that the old one used to be the same color when new. 17 years of sun damage and neglect.seat
