The handbrake is NOT adjustable at the lever, only at the rear of the car. The cable just hooks into the handbrake lever. To access the forward end of the cable and the handbrake lever mechanism you have to lift the console. The console is pretty easy to lift up, at least after you have done it once before.

Needed: Someone with a GT4 that HAD actually done the adjustment at the bottom of the handbrake mechanism. Please confirm that this is indeed possible.

I want to know this before I cut apart my boot cover which is sewn into the console (what a totally dumb design!)
