Jerry,

You're thinking of Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Cleaner (#10) and Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Polish (#17) which we use to clean and polish aircraft windscreens. Yes, it works well on the wheel centers too.

I thought I'd pass on a little tip I stumbled on. I noticed my wheel centers on my 81-308 GTSI were a little scratched up and dull looking. I asked another owner what he thought and he suggested Mcguars plastic polish but said it would probably take a LONG time to get any results. I remembered when I was in the NAVY that we had a polishing compound that we used on Plexi to remove hazing. I also remember that the stuff looked just like polishing compound that I used on my car. So last weekend I went to my garage and experimented on som plastic I had laying around. I buffed the surface with fine steel wool to scratch and dull the plastic. I then applied REGULAR rubing compound to the surface and rubbed. the larger scratches disappeared. I then followed wth a turtle wax clear coat safe polish. To my amazement the scratches were completely gone and the plastic looked good as new. I then used this on the Ferrari wheel centers with GREAT results. Now my center are greatly improved and don't look so dull.
