I've own several 308's and none of them leaked anti freeze or overheated, except 1. it always pressurized. It had a cracked head.If you fill and bleed as per Ferrari spec. It should be fine.

You need a 1.1 bar cap. When I first got my car it spit coolant out just as described. It had a weak spring in the cap. I ordered a new one from a popular parts company who swore it was the correct cap. I put it on and it continued to spit the coolant. I called Ferrari of Atlanta and was told to make sure I was using a 1.1 bar cap. I wasn't. The new cap the other guy sold me was a 0.9 bar. I got the 1.1 bar and have NEVER had another problem with it (it has been 5 years now).
Get a 1.1 bar cap.

I was told that T rutlands sells a 1.1 bar cap that can be used on the tank. My car will do the same and over time will finally erupt and spit out a flurry of coolant. If I continually bleed the system it doesn't happen. WHy do all the 308s seem to do this? If anyone knows the answer let me know

Check your reservoir cap. Springs get weak with age and do not hold the 'said' pressure.

Check to see if there are any other leaks under reservoir. There are several hoses.

When I park my 1983 308 QV, I find a drip of anti freeze under the header tank over flow tube (near the rear sway bar). The car does not run hot, and I have replaced the header tank cap with a new cap (0.9 bar). Is this normal? The tank is always about 1/2 full when cold.
