I replaced mine with the Porsche 928 fan which works very well. It turns out to be a Mercedes S-class fan (much cheaper than Porsche spares). The fan is made by Bosch. It is quite loud but with your F-car engine running, you can't hear it. Fan fits really well in the vacated space. |

I used the plastic retainers and put the fans in front of the condensor. I also put small pads on the radiator etc. to cushion the fan so, it won't damage the radiator. I believe I used the 12in. fans. I will check. |

How did you attach them? Did you use brackets or did you use the nylon retainers that go through the radiator or condenser? Also what part numbers did you use? |

Hayden fans are the best bet. I have them on my 308 and even in the summer the temp never gets above half. When they come on it brings the temp right down. You have to make sure you wire it correctly though. |

I has one of my 82 GTSi fans go bad, called T Rutlends they have the upgraded versions for $200.00 each (said they are rhe 12 cyl 400i type). I opted to mount an after-market Hayden fan for $59.00. Hayden blows MUCH better than my stock old style Lucas fan.... |

I've got a 308 GTS carb ... I've heard that later QV radiator fans are bigger and better and shifting air through the radiator, and are a straight swap. Is this true ? Are they worth the improvement ? Do you have to remove the radiator to fit ? Anyone done it ? Thanks ! |
