I agree with Ulf, I had the same problem described by you Rob and it turned out to be the drain hose getting clogged with gunk and debris. This can happen quite often when you consider that the drain plug is under the car where it can collect the dirt and stuff.

Rob, Your drain hose for the heater/ac unit is probably clogged (or dislocated). Try to get to the hose (underneath the car) and remove the debris by inserting a steel wire in to it.

Rob,

I went to test drive an 87 328 GTS last weekend. The car had a peculiar, freeform color change in the leather on the floor console near the metal plate next to the throttle pedal. I suspected this stain was due to an A/C problem, and it seems that your experience confirms this.

I was driving at lunch today with the A/C going and all of a sudden I felt my feet get soaked. I looked down and there was water on the floor and center console. No more water came out and then I turned the A/C off. Later I turned it back on and no more water came out. I may have been on a hill or bump when the water came out.

Anyone have this problem? A quick call to Norwoods and they thought it may be a leak or problem with the drain hose.
