Robert...

I live in the Jacksonville / Orange Park, FL area also! Nice to chat with you. Hope to see you around at the local shows sometime.

You mentioned a local upholsterer that you use. If you don't mind, would you be willing to e-mail (or post) some info as to where I might could contact the upholsterer? Been thinking about having my seats redone on the 308 QV as well.

Sorry to be a little bit "off-topic" here -- carry on...

Crazyhorse: If it is decaying from the inside and the outside is O.K, have you considered some hide food, Lexol, or similar treatment and then relining it?

JM -- may I recommend you check prices with World Upholstery (http://www.vcnet.com/worlduph/ferrari.htm) and GAHH (http://www.gahh.com) just for comparison.

Have you tried to see if a local Automotive upholsterer could make one for you. It may not be original Ferrari, but in most cases it will look the same or better. I live in Florida and use a shop here. I have been using him for about 15 years or so. He is going to releather my seats in my 308. And refabric the headliner. Both for under a 1000.$. He did several corvette resto's I did and the seats looked better than original. I could hook you up with him, maybe he could help you.

Italian Car Parts will sell you one for $1,195. My older QV made due with a canvas one available for $599. It arrived in about a week. Save your Tenax fasteners as they do not come with the new boot and you will have to fit them yourself.

I'll be very impressed if someone could suggest a solution for my leather boot ( the cover you put on when the top is down ) from fraying into microscopic dust particles from the inside. Of course I could order one but I don't think it is worth the $2500 i was quoted. Thanks
