My 2-Cents. It could also be the ignition wires. When they start to go they lose their ability to carry the voltage necessary to fire the plugs cleanly.

With the blower on high speed you are placing the maximum load on the Compressor as well as the alternator and if the engine is not running at peak performance stalling can occur. I would first check the A/C pressures to make sure everything is normal and that the condenser fans are operating normally. I would then check the fuel mixture to make sure the engine is doing it's part. You may need to verify the tachometer in the car to see if the engine is really idling fast enough.

Suspect your AC compressor is having trouble with flow causing your engine to lug/die. I had this problem with my 89...

1000 rpm is about right. fan level should have nothing to do with stalling any unusal sounds from engine when a/c on? if a/c not on full blast does it still stall

The car runs great. When the AC is on high and I am stopping at a light the engine stalls. Is the idle too low ? Please advise. Thanks
