Thanks Tim. I spoke with Mike Elliot at Superformance and Phil Warburton at QV in England. They had them made jointly.

I stand corrected on eurospares having the wheels made. It was Mike Elliot at superformance. Eurospares did burn down though loosing about $5 million in stock. A sad loss to the Ferrari community

Thanks for all the feedback. I just ordered a set from Superformance, Ltd. It will be nice to have some real rubber shortly.

QV London have the 16" reproduction wheels in stock (to my knowledge it was them that had them made)

I got a set of the repro 16's through Mike Elliot at Eurospares, the guy in the UK who had them cast. I think he had about 100 sets made. They look fantastic on the car and you wouldn't know they weren't original. I'm pretty sure he sold out pretty fast, so the ony places that may have them are Lyle Tanner and GT carparts if they still have any.

I think I heard that their building bun't down a couple of days ago, which is a damn shame. So there may not be any wheels cast through them again, not to mention all the other great spares they had

I bought a set from Lyle Tanner Ent at Ferraripartsexchange.com. I love them. They look great and the Michelin Pilot Sports, I put on them, look and handle great. The look and handling are well worth the cost of this upgrade!!!

David, the Compomotive wheels I had made were $1900/set. I have 10x17 on the rear and 8x17 on the front. They computed the off-sets for my particular car (308GTS) so I could get the maximum width of tire on the car without rubbing or hanging out past the fender. They even sent me new lug bolts and center F-badges. It took a couple of weeks for them to build them, but it was was worth the wait.

I was able to put the Michelin pilot sport tires 255/40/zr/17 on rear and 225/45/zr/17 on front

How much were the Compomotive wheels?
They look very much like 288 GTO wheels.
Im a bit ticked at my son, he had a set of 16" COMPO TS wheels on his Rx-7 & sold them for $100. I just heard that the hole patterns match, and all I needed was a spacer & studs or longer lug bolts to compensate for the Rx7's offset.

BTW, 16" wheels are available from Superformance in the UK for about $1600/set. See:
www.superformance.co.uk

I've got brand new AVON CR28s on my TRX 390 mm rims, but when they wear out I plan on having 16" wheels.

Thanks John. Absolutely, the tire choices are great. That's why I have been debating on new wheels. The new QVs, when found, are insane money($3,000+).

I don't know about the 16" repo. wheels, but I bought a set of new wheels from www.usacomp.com "TS" style that are very simular to the factory ones. They come in 15",16", 17", or 18" also. You can get a bigger variety of tires with larger size wheels. They also came with center F logo badges.

I know this subject had been addressed in another manner. I was wondering if anyone has bought a set of the 16" reproduction 308 QV wheels offered by several sources and what their views are. Thanks for any feedback.
