I have been doing some research into the difference between the Motronic 2.5 vs 2.7 Can anyone verify if this was done as a recall, for performance, or just the natural evolution of the software. I am hearing conflicting stories. Some say recall and that all 89 -up 348's should have been upgraded to 2.7 during a recall campaign (which I cannot find any history of) Are there any identifying marks on the motronic units themselves that would show which version they are using? Can you swap 2.7 ECU's into a car with 2.5 or are there significant pinout differences? Thanks for any help..just trying to get educated  Mike |
