Just go into whatever program you open them with (I use Corel Photos House for example) and go to Image on the top. There will be either properties or size in there most likely, click on that. You'll see in the box that pops up the height and width values. Just change them and keep it in proportion (if it is 28x24 change it to 7x6 for example). I generally make mine 7 inches wide and adjust the height to that. |

Peter, Maybe you can give Jorma some info on posting smaller pics. Your pics always fit the screen. |

Thanks,Peter. The wheels are there for double security. Then, no I can not send smaller pictures, tell me what to do. This is a typical way I use to work with my cars, very cheap, but better than original. If Ferrari had done this from the beginning ( hardened bushings instead of cast iron ) the differential should last for ever. I just wander, what the detail I repaired cost? |

You can barely see the jack-stands Magoo, but they're there... Congrats on the removal Jorma. |

GOD! Where is this job being done? It looks like a spare wheel holding up the chassis. Good Luck. |

Oh, I see. My statement was ambiguous. When I said "both can be done in-car", I didn't mean both heads! I meant both jobs (removing diff cover and removing diff). Sorry for the confusion. I guess it *is* possible to remove the diff gear itself, too.

As you can see in the picture, the dif is of. I moved the engine 1 cm to have the rear header of.I removed the K-Jet and the axles, nothing else, not even the upper rod holding the engine on place. The reason I removed the dif was too much clearence on the axle in the dif ( other side) For that I placed a bushing of hardened steel. ( inner bushing of a needle bearing) |

Ric, you really must like challenges. Front cover re and re in the car, now heads, what next? I got a good one for ya.....how 'bout changing a crank with the engine still in there. Now thats a challenge. LOL. |

Ric, how did you get the front head off in the car? Removing all the studs is the only way and I cant see how you could get foot long studs out either without going insane. |

You can do the diff in car with heads on. The engine must come out for the front(5-8) head to come off. |

Ric, can you remove both heads on a 308 without removing the engine or do you have to remove the engine to get the front head off? |

It's possible to remove the diff cover without pulling the rear head, but I think to remove the diff itself, you have to remove the rear head. Both can be done in-car.

It is possible to remove differential without splitting the engine. |
