My 308 has a MOMO cavalino 2 wheel, bolts right on and looks like the original except for the black spokes.

I will measure. There is no hub adapter on the early cars. So if it measurse I guess it will fit. Need car to come back from body shop first.Rust on Doors again!

I agree, I called and got the same attitude. They simply stated that MOMO does not make ANY steering wheels that fit a Ferrari. Sounds like some sour grapes somewhere to me.

I could send you the wheel I took off to try. It mounts just like the new one. It's probably easier to just measure. I just checked mine and it is what Steve said 6 x 70mm bolt and 55mm center.

ok. I called Momo. (who dont want to talk to the public at all. I was very disappointed). They said I need a hub adapter that they no longer make to put a montecarlo (or any momo wheel) on my 78 gtb which of course has a momo wheel stock. I cant believe how hard this is to get to the bottom of. They said that all of their momo wheels fit all momo hub adapters which leads you to think it should fit the 78 308 as it is a momo wheel. But yet they say I need an obsolete adapter.Starting to think momo needs new customer service rep?Whish I had montecralo wheel to try.Seems like trial and error only way to find out at this point. Very confusing.

"different starting in 84"? -- I don't think so! My ex-'78 308 (and '91 TR) are identical steering wheel mounting-wise to this 328 (shown in the 328 dash discussion):

I've got a 350mm montecarlo in my 84, it bolted on and looks similar to the stock wheel, which was a momo also.

I'm just guessing, but it sounds like if came with a momo, a new one is a bolt on. If it didn't you need the adapter.

I am now told 308 steering colums are different starting in 84.From 84 on new momo wheels bolt right on. Just what I heard. I hear a different story every where I go.

David -- If you're talking about the jpeg of the montecarlo on the www.momo.it site, it does look a little strange, but I think it's the lighting (dark at the top, bright at the bottom) so the rim thickness looks non-uniform/unbalanced.
I've got a 320mm momo corse (without the hideous horn button trim ring) in my TR. 320mm is a little small for a TR (but I need the extra room it gives), and I really liked the fat-rimmed momo veloce in my ex-308 (should have kept that one). IMO, a tasteful black-spoked momo wheel mounted with the FH screws showing and the proper horn button is a good match for any post-Dino/pre-airbag F and blends beautifully with the overall F design/feel.

Speaking of Momo, what steering wheels have you folks mounted on your F-Car...
I was looking at putting on a montecarlo while I have my stock Momo re-finished, but it looks oblong instead of round...
Any thoughts?

Ask Momo for the dimensions of the steering wheel you're considering (bolt circle and center hole diameter) -- if they match the values in the message below then no adapter required (like you said, both my ex-308 and TR Momo wheels "mounted right on").

I have no adapter. The 78 cars were mounted right on. Momo tells me i need an adapter they no longer make. If you know different let me know.

bruno -- Are you talking about for the steering wheel? I didn't need any adapter on my ex-'78 to use a Momo steering wheel -- 6 mounting holes on a 70mm diameter bolt circle with a 55mm center hole. Is yours something different?
