Bruce:

That may be a problem. I do know someone who as a garage on their boat, but he paid $40M for it (it's a big boat). Considering that I am a poor college student, I do not have that kind of cash just yet. Give me a couple years and I will get back to you. Pulling up to port and driving a Ferrari off your boat to go for a drive has to be a cool experience. Just one more incentive to do well in life.

Bruce:

We can stay on the boat. Two bars, three staterooms (bedrooms), full kitchen, and room for enough supplies to stay out for a month. With the new satvision we can even watch the F1 races. Think of it as a floating house, but better.

I hate to say this Bill, but I have already grown tired of my 308 QV after only 6 months of ownership. While I absolutely love my car (it was my dream car as a kid), I made the mistake of driving a TR. It has been downhill since then. I wonder what my wife would do if she saw a TR in the garage? Do you still have that room available for me Bruce?

Thanks, Ken--I just found that info in the manual myself ( it's amazing how reading a manual can help ! ). I also found out that the idle speed is adjustable, so I'll be at that soon. Upon closer observation, my idle is actually closer to 1100 rpm-not that far out of wack according to the manual ( 1000 rpm +/- 100 ).

Are you enjoying your car as much as i am mine? These F-cars are great, aren't they!

Bill:

Welcome to Ferrari Chat. Your idle does sound a little high. My 1985 308 QV idles at around 900-1000 rpm. Your manual will give you the exact number. If you do not have a manual send me an email and I will look it up.

What is the proper rpm idle speed for a 1985 QV? Mine idles at 1200 rpm. ( Obviously, I'm new to Ferraris). If this is not correct, how does one adjust the idle rpm?
