Chris,
try tirerack.com...
They have a few different pads for your car, all priced much better than your quote.

Gentelmen,
Thanks for your kind words. If anyone knows where to get the pads cheap let me know. So far Rutlands wants a ridiculous $300/rear and $400/front.

Frank Parker - do you know if the Spyders get the Brembo pad or the Teves. What do you have on your car?

Chris,

Brakes are 80% worn? I thought you didn't even know what that peddle in the middle was for.

When you install the new pads in the calipers you have to force the pads apart to clear the rotor, this causes the brake fluid to go back into the reservoir. Make sure you have enough room in the reservior or the fluid will overflow.

(but then you probably have lots of experience with fluid overflow)

All the best....Norm

I just removed my pads becaused they squeeked. You have to be careful with the sensor wires. I used a anti squeek compond on the back of the pads and because the rotors were not out of round I used a 3m disc to clean both sides including the ridge on the top and close to center of the rotor. Noises went away....

It didn't take me 30 minutes to do all 4 wheels.

It's just like brake pad replacement on any other car. In fact, I always have the brakes on my Ferraris/Dinos done at Brake-o. They usually have the correct pads in stock as they are used on many different make cars. My 328 had ATe brake pads that were the same as used on a Plymouth Horizon.

I'm doing my brakes. They are 80% worn front and back ( guesstimation ). All the pads appear easy to replace except for the wheel behind the drivers side ( rear ). Any tips, or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ( pretty unusual for me to post something serious - do you like it ? . . . . . oh you like it baby...... you know you do......oops sorry wrong chatroom. )
