anything without fixed mount bolts on back, whether it be flat or curved,Ive used G.E 100% pure silicone, any hardware store.Holds perfectly to aid wind deflection at 140 or so,the cool thing is when you want to pull it off it will not pull or scratch paint.DO NOT use LOCTITE silicone that will pull paint... |

I bought the stickers from FOA then went to Wal-Mart and got one of those college football team car door magnets. I stuck the stickers on it and cut them out. Works great for me when I am in the mood for fender shields. Haven't lost one yet. |

Take a picture, enlarge it, and measure the distances from known points on the fender. Convert that to full size, just use relative numbers. If you're off by 1/2 an inch nobody'll know. |

Good question Richelson, I can get those measurements (and will) probably within the next month. I am going to do a 308/288 GTO conversion sometime this year and I am trying to learn all the little details on the 288 so I can have a nice authentic looking one. (except the engine)There is a GTO at a dealership about an hour away from me. Gotta check it out everytime I'm in the area. I'll bet you could "eyeball" the placement of the shield by looking at photos of a GTO or F40.

I would like to have set put on my 308 on day. Do they know the exact placement to put the side shields like on the 288? The reason for asking that I don't think that the factory gave out the exact measurements of where they should be placed. |

Richelson, The enamel is hand painted onto a metal badge that is chrome or nickel plated. It has raised areas in which the colored enamel is painted. After each individual color is painted on the badge, the badge is "fired" in a oven and the enamel is baked onto the metal badge. In the case of a Scuderia Badges, you are dealing with the colors, red, white, green, black and yellow. The badge is "baked" in an oven 5 times before the badge is finished. Because the enamel is baked onto the metal badge it is EXTREMELY hard and shiney. Very hard to scratch. Oh yeah, before all this painting happens the metal badge has to be bent to the shape of a Ferrari fender. That why they are a bit pricey. |

I bought a pair of the puffy ones today at the dealer for less than $24.00 incl. tax. I am going to try to use removable adhesive (like the one use in Post-it) to attach them to my TR since magnets are useless on the aluminum fenders. Has anybody use this type of adhesive on their cars? Any risk of damage to the paint? |

My experience with the magnetic ones is that they don't stay on very well at all. They slide in the wind and every time you bump them. Then they leave fine scratches in your paint. I finally lost mine going down the road and got the decals. |

How do you get them to enamel them on? Do they have to remove the fender? Has anyone had this done? |

What is the correct size of them? I have seen some that are too big but most are the smaller avg. size. |

Karl...I bought mine through the dealer. They were the 3D stick-on type (about 1/16th to 1/8th of an inch thick). My dealer's Part No. was 95990925 STICKER/S SHOW, and they cost $15.00 per sticker ($30.00 total). You might try calling Ferrari of Central Florida (407) 667-4300 and ask for Doug in Parts Dept. There are also a magnetic variety of fender shields out there (usually on E-bay as well), which you can easily remove depending on the occasion. Hope this helps. |

Karl, If you want the sticky ones, you can find them on eBay for around $5-$10 each. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1810230074&r=0&t=0 But if you want the enameled ones that are quite pricey, try here: FD/40 $375.00! each. http://www.black-barts.com/ Joe |

Does anyone know where to get the yellow Ferrari emblems/shield that you see on some F's just ahead of the side view mirrors? LUCH |
