The O rings seals are an easy fix. Possibly the cold weather shrinks your O rings and casues the leaking. Bleeding is a reletively simple task. The easiest way to do it is with a vacuum bleeder...this makes it an easy one man job. Check your owners manual for the type of fluid to use. |

You can buy the 348 clutch and slave cylinder parts from TRutlands. He gets them from England. Ferrari still makes them but FNA doesn't import them so they can sell you the higher priced 355 parts. |

This may not be what you want to hear, but... 348s have the "habit" of having the clutch slave cylinders go bad. There is an "upgrade" to the 355 slave cylinder, but it is expensive (>$1K). To make matters worse, there are no more 348 rebuild kits from Ferrari. So your only "official" choice is to have the 355 slave kit installed. I have heard, but not confirmed that some places (maybe Norwoods?) are offering to "upgrade" the 348 slave cylinders to accept the 355 seals, without having to buy the 355 parts (other than the seal). |

Hey guys! I went to commission my 348 for the upcoming good weather in Boston (it changes from Snow to Rain about now) and I found that my clutch pedal went to the floor when I depressed it, with little or not effort. I am assuming that it does not have sufficient fluid. I also notices a small amount of fluid under the car, right about where I am guessing the clutch is. Is topping off the clutch hydraulic fluid an easy task? What type of fluid should I use? Do I now need to bleed the clutch and if so, how do I do that? Does anyone know why the fluid would have escaped while the car was stored? Is there anything about not using the car that can lead to loss of fluids? Any help you guys can offer will be most appreciated. Christopher Peznola |
