In addition to Mothers Back to Black, I've had excellent results with Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer (here's the link Meguiars Products). It works great on the GTS top, as well as the rear decklid spoiler. Not to glossy, but just right. In fact, my detail guy mentioned that these surfaces on the 308 looked great and wondered what I was using to achieve those results. Other than that, I use Mothers on all other black surfaces, including metal ones (grills, etc.).

I recently tried Mother's 'Back to Black' based on posts here on FC and found it to be excellent. Leaves the perfect finish I was looking for. Not too shiny, a nice even rich black color.

I used the Back to Black, Black Chrome and similar products. One day I used a good cleaner wax on the top and the bumpers. Wow. That turned out great. I think it is a cheap turtle wax extreme cleaner or something like that. (I don't put this on the rest of my car) It's all I use on the top now.

If Black Chrome can't bring it back, then try repainting it! I did my Targa top & Spoiler a while ago with RustOleum Black Vinyl Paint.

Produces a glossy black new vinyl finish. Just don't let a drop of sweat fall in the middle of the 2nd coat. It will cause a small blister that'll peel off after about a year(don't ask)...

I have nice results with a product called 'Black Chrome' by turtle wax. Produces a nice even semi-gloss finish.

I am sure this has been asked many times but what do most of you use to bring out the black color on your 308gts tops.
