I had a similar problem on my 78 308. The right signal light worked fine but the left one didn't. I noticed that if I lifted the turn signal lever slightly, from its detent position, my voltmeter would twitch, when connected to the left rear signal lamp connector. I cycled the switch many times, but to no avail. It looked like I was going to have to disassemble the switch from the steering column, when I had an idea. A couple of years ago I got a sample of miller-stephenson connector cleaner & lubricant, in a spray canister. The canister had a thin tube extension for reaching into tight spaces. I liberally sprayed the switch mechanism through the side of the steering column, then worked the switch stalk. After about 10 cycles, I had a steady reading on my voltmeter. After hooking up the signal light, it worked perfectly. I think I dodged a bullet on this one |

Is it just my car (1984 308) or does everyone have problems with the LEFT blinker? Right works fine but to get the left going takes a bit of pushing and pulling on the stalk. |
